What's the Deal with Fluoride?

Contemplating the risk and reward of fluoride? We're here to help you out.

DENTISTS THOUGHTS
As long as it is being used correctly and in the right dosage, the general consensus from most dentist is that there are not many cons of fluoride.

CONSUMER THOUGHTS
If consumed in large quantities the naturally occurring chemical is found to cause harm to the body. The continuous ingestion of fluoride can cause fluorosis (coloured spots on the teeth) and more adverse affects include neurological and endocrine dysfunction.

LOVEBYT'S THOUGHTS
Fluoride is present in all of the world's natural water systems, however not at a level that will sufficiently prevents tooth decay. In NSW, the founding home of LOVEBYT, fluoride is added into our water supply at a rate of 1 milligram per litre (mg/L).

We choose to not include fluoride in our toothpaste as it is found in our water and the impacts of fluoride are not conclusive.
